Welcome back
wow, just the other day i was outside at night in shortsleeves and sandels and today we have freezing rain.. it is very pretty out here in the country.. hopefully tomorrow the sun will shine some and i can get some pics of it.. and hopefully i won't lose internet connection!!!.
cooked a big pot of beans and cornbread, staying warm.. .
ok, as long as the power stays on.. .
It's icy here too. Down to around -5C at night and not getting above zero during the day in spite of the bright sunshine
And that's the forecast for the rest of the week too *sigh*
i felt that this post needed its own thread, .
hope your country settles down soon.. purps.
from the riots in greece thread.
Still big problems in Greece. For the full news report click:

A Greek riot policeman has been seriously injured by two men with Kalashnikov automatic weapons in central Athens, officials say.
The officer was part of a unit guarding the culture ministry when the pre-dawn attack took place.
The policeman was taken to hospital and was undergoing surgery.
A huge manhunt is under way. Last month Greece saw its worst riots in decades after the fatal shooting by police of a teenager in Athens.
Police say 20 shots were fired by the attackers.
They say the 21-year-old officer spotted the gunmen and warned his colleagues shortly before he was hit by two bullets, one in the chest, the other in the leg.
A number of people have been taken in for questioning.
problem with the account of cain.. .
does anyone know the age of cain when he killed abel.
i have heard the figure of 35/40 years mentioned.. the reason i ask this is, when he killed abel he fled to the land of fugitiveness who were the people living there?
Folks in the know will know to click on the threaded view! Maybe your best option is to just start a new thread with the title in.
As for the question, I thought the the rest of the population was explained away by those wicked fallen angels coming to earth - maybe they could populate quicker than regular humans?!
dear friends,.
one of my greatest enjoyments is a daily walk.
i see things in far greater detail than when i am driving by.

Easier to put the web page up rather than paste the best pics. Enjoy!
dear friends,.
much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.
had to get up early this morning as the gas people are coming to check the heating system. 8.45 feels like the middle of the night to me - I should still be in bed! I hope they arrive soon then I won't have to work too late tonight.
its another sunny but very cold day. We might get snow later, it already has on the nearby hills but it looks like it just missed us. Both kittys are sitting in the window watching 'breakfast' fly past - their desires will remain unfulfilled - for now at least!
foxnews reports 250 earthquakes hit the yellowstone park area in recent days.
this area has been called a "super volcano" and very "high risk.
" one eruption 2 million years ago was a vei 8 which caused global cooling and devastation.

More big quakes in Indonesia/papua yesterday. The 'ring of fire' looks to be pretty active at the moment...
surgeon busted for using human fat to fuel cars(agencies).
updated: 2008-12-29 12:03los angeles -- a former beverly hills plastic surgeon is in trouble with the law because he fueled his car with human fat sucked from his patients.. craig alan bittner apparently created "lipo-diesel" from his patient's fat and used it to fuel his ford suv and his girlfriend's lincoln navigator.. california public health officials say that it is illegal because state law forbids the use of human medical waste to power vehicles.. bittner said he was trying to be environmentally friendly by using the "lipo-diesel.".
"the vast majority of my patients request that i use their fat for fuel -- and i have more fat than i can use," bittner wrote on lipodiesel.com, which is no longer online.
eewwwwww!

Dear journal
'Beginning of a new year log' 2009
It's bright and sunny here, but flippin' cold!
Life at the moment feels settled, but something's not right, an unsettled undercurrent. I guess my life could then be described as upside down as usually, the undercurrent is calm whilst the surface is in chaos.
Got to find what's going wrong...
